A note to all of my Word Press friends:
I MISS you!! My summer started in Stress mode and is ending in Omigosh, Life is So Good mode. I’ve hardly written a thing all summer and my spirit is drying up on the inside of me. Must get back to solitude and expression SOON. Bottom line, friends … we are in the process of moving. Not only moving but downscaling by 2,000 sq. ft. It’s something we want with all our hearts … but a bit challenging. As long as you’re having fun everything’s fine, right?
The move will be completed soon and I’ll be back to tell you all about it. Can’t wait!

Moving is an exhausting process, particularly when you are downsizing. However, it can also be a relief, a cutting of the ballasts that are weighing you down. I hope your move is a smooth one and your return, swift. We miss you, too!

I so agree — it’s one of the most liberating processes available to us. I look forward to much writing, surrounded by a bare minimum of possessions!

I think this whole process can’t help but change the way I write. The load will be lighter, the stress at a bare minimum (it is to be hoped!), the view serene and beautiful, and the town like a warm blankie to my soul. So ready to BE THERE!

It’s all going pretty well, although some of the sorting and discarding will inevitably happen AFTER we get to the new location. No garage, just an underground parking space, and only 1500 sq. ft. for “stuff,” so we have to be fairly ruthless.
